urls.bio is a link in bio page built around the part everyone else gives away: the audience.
Your bio link gets more traffic than your website. On most platforms it hands that traffic straight back: a tap, a scroll, gone, and all you keep is a follower count somebody else controls. We wanted a page that kept something instead.
So urls.bio is a page you assemble out of blocks, themed until it looks like you rather than like a template, with an email field on it. The links are the reason people come. The list is the reason it was worth building.
the principle
A follower is rented. An email is yours.
Every decision here answers to that line. It is why email capture is on the free plan, why the export has no cap, and why closing your account does not cost you the addresses.
- one page
- Links, releases, video, music, booking, a gallery, a poll, a form. Seventeen block types you drag into the order you want. More than a link, less than a website, and live in minutes.
- invite only
- There is no open signup form. Pages arrive by referral, every member holds 100 invites, and handles are reserved against a real email. A smaller directory is the point: nobody wants their page shelved next to a spam farm.
- the list is yours
- Every address someone leaves is stored against your profile alone. Export it to CSV whenever you want, sync it to Klaviyo, Mailchimp, beehiiv, or your own webhook, and take it with you if you leave.
- honest numbers
- Your own visits and known bots are dropped before anything is written down, and visitor IPs are hashed rather than stored raw. The counts are people, which is the only version worth reading.
who builds it
urls.bio is built by a small team called SpecialOPS. We ship in the open: every change is written up in the changelog, and the docs describe what the product does today rather than what it might do later.
