Starter pages.

Seven starting points. Pick one and your page opens with blocks in it, not with an empty studio and a cursor.

Start blank

An empty page is the hardest page to write. A starter fills it in: the blocks that kind of page usually needs, in the order they usually go, with a theme, a font, a background, a button shape, and an avatar shape already set.

There are seven. Musician opens on a release heading, a spotlight listen link, two live dates, and a mailing list signup. Restaurant opens on the menu, the hours, the map, and a table booking. Podcaster, Creator, Coach, and Small brand each start where that work starts, and Start blank is there for people who would rather begin from nothing.

None of it is filler. Every placeholder is a prompt in plain words to replace, such as "Your next show" or "The dish people come for", every seeded block is complete enough to publish, and a starter is only ever applied to a page with nothing on it, so it cannot bury work you have already done.

three steps

Set it up.

  1. 01Pick a starterChoose the one closest to what you do, or Start blank to begin from nothing.
  2. 02Swap the placeholdersEvery line is a prompt to replace: the titles, the dates, the links, the prices.
  3. 03Change the lookA starter sets a theme, a font, and a background. All of it is yours to change afterwards.

questions

Straight answers.

Can a starter overwrite my page?
No. A starter is only applied to a profile with no blocks on it, so opening the chooser again cannot bury what you have made.
Which blocks does a starter add?
The ones that kind of page runs on. A coach gets a feature card, three questions and answers, a way to get in touch, and the hours they take calls.
Do I have to keep the design it picks?
No. The theme, the font, the background, the button shape, and the avatar shape are all yours to change.
