A page behind a passcode.
For the page that is not for everyone. Your name, a hint if you want one, and one field between a visitor and the rest of it.

This page is private.
the one from the newsletter
Some pages are for a room, a list, or a client rather than for search. A passcode turns yours into one of those without moving it anywhere: same handle, same design, one field in front of it.
A visitor sees your avatar, your name, the line This page is private, and the hint you wrote, if you wrote one. The hint is shown to everybody who lands there, so it should only mean something to the people you gave the code to. Once they are through they stay unlocked on that device for thirty days.
The passcode is hashed before it is stored, so it cannot be read back out of the database, and changing it signs out everyone already let in. You are never asked for it on your own page. Page passcode is part of Pro, and if a plan lapses the page opens again rather than locking your audience out, with the passcode kept for when you come back.

questions
Straight answers.
- What does a visitor see?
- Your avatar, your name, the line This page is private, your hint if you set one, and a passcode field. None of the page itself is loaded behind the gate.
- How long does an unlock last?
- Thirty days on that device. Changing the passcode signs out everyone who was already let in.
- What happens if my plan lapses?
- The page opens to everyone rather than locking your audience out. The passcode is kept, and comes back into force with Pro.
