Near white, black rules, square corners, titles in caps. Nothing floats, nothing glows, nothing fades.

Blocks are outlined boxes: a one pixel black border, a white surface, no shadow, and no radius at all. The ink is close to black, the muted grey is a real grey, and the accent is the ink itself, so there is no second colour anywhere on the page.

Titles are set in caps, and the corner radius is capped the way Ledger caps it, so the boxes stay boxes. What you are left with is a page that looks typeset: nothing to date it, and nothing to distract from what is written.

It is the theme for a menu, a card, a schedule, or a page that will be printed as well as read. The Restaurant starter ships with it, in Instrument Serif.

questions

Straight answers.

What is the difference from Editorial?
Print outlines each block and centres the page; Editorial has no block surface at all and aligns left. Print also sets titles in caps.
Can I add a colour?
Set your own ink and the outline follows it, so the boxes and the buttons take your colour together.
Which starter uses it?
Restaurant, set in Instrument Serif with an outlined button.
